First All-Russian Conference” Perspectives of Production, Handling and Application of Rare-Earth Metals”
Members of AMTC Group were participated in the First All-Russian Conference ”Perspectives of Production, Handling and Application of Rare-Earth Metals” (REM-2011) that were held in Moscow on September 26-27 at the Business Center "Info-Prostranstvo".
Organizers: “Leading Scientific-Research Institute of Chemical Technology”, JSC, SC “Rosatom”. It was attended by over 250 delegates, including representatives of federal and regional authorities, the Russian scientific community, industry, investment companies, regulatory authorities (including the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council, State Corporation "Rosatom", JSC “Rosnano”, "SC Russian Technologies", JSC" ARMZ", JSC" SUEK", JSC "TVEL", etc.).
Discussions on key trends in the development of REM industry in Russia were held at the conference "REM-2011".
As a result of a two-day work was formulated the Solution of the First All-Russian Conference ”Perspectives of Production, Handling and Application of Rare-Earth Metals”.
The document is a generalized program of action for reconstruction and modernization of national capacities for the production of REM, the creation of administrative and economic incentives for extraction of rare-earth metals as associated components, creating an appropriate regulatory framework for regulation the activity of rare-earth metals extraction from technogenic mineral formation, upgrading of existing technologies, applied at different stages of treatment with REM, organizing the training process of highly qualified personnel.
The collection and analysis of reliable statistical information of the activities of the national industry and the current REM's foreign trade balance is recognized as one of the most important stages of work in this area.
Almost all participants of the Conference were unanimous in a matter of need of revitalization of the national rare-earth metals industry. The need in such activities on a regular basis was frequently highlighted at the conference that is especially important in light of the current situation on the world market of REM.
This event is designed to become a permanent communication platform for sharing experience and knowledge, bringing together producers, technology developers and users of REM in Russia.
